چکیده

Abstract The transition to green chemistry and biodegradable polymers is a logical stage in the development of modern chemical science technology. In framework this review, advantages, disadvantages, potential synthetic natural origin are compared using example polylactide chitosan as traditional representatives these classes polymers, possibilities their combination via obtaining composite materials or copolymers assessed. mechanochemical approach synthesis graft with oligolactides/polylactides considered more detail.

An introduction to biodegradable materials for tissue engineering applications.

Tissue generation by autogenous cell transplantation is one of the most promising treatment concepts being developed as it eliminates problems of donor site scarcity, immune rejection and pathogen transfer. Cultured cells are seeded onto a three-dimensional biocompatible scaffold that will slowly degrade and resorb as the soft and hard structures grow and assimilate in vitro and/or in vivo. The...

Synthesis of biodegradable and electroactive multiblock polylactide and aniline pentamer copolymer for tissue engineering applications.

To obtain one biodegradable and electroactive polymer as the scaffold for tissue engineering, the multiblock copolymer PLAAP was designed and synthesized with the condensation polymerization of hydroxyl-capped poly( l-lactide) (PLA) and carboxyl-capped aniline pentamer (AP). The PLAAP copolymer exhibited excellent electroactivity, solubility, and biodegradability. At the same time, as one scaff...

Biodegradable Materials for Bone Repair and Tissue Engineering Applications

This review discusses and summarizes the recent developments and advances in the use of biodegradable materials for bone repair purposes. The choice between using degradable and non-degradable devices for orthopedic and maxillofacial applications must be carefully weighed. Traditional biodegradable devices for osteosynthesis have been successful in low or mild load bearing applications. However...

starch-based biodegradable polymers and packaging plastics

it seems that today whole world seems to be wrapped in plastics. almost every product we buy, most of the food we eat and many of the liquids we drink, come encased in plastics. the environmental impact of persistent plastic wastes is evoking more global concern as alternative disposal methods are limited. incineration may generate toxic air pollution, and satisfactory landfill sites are limite...

Biodegradable polylactide/montmorillonite nanocomposites.

Our continuing research on the preparation, characterization, materials properties, and biodegradability of polylactide (PLA)/organically modified layered silicate (OMLS) nanocomposites has yielded results on PLA/montmorillonite nanocomposites. Montmorillonite (mmt) modified with dimethyldioctadecylammonium cation was used as an OMLS for nanocomposite preparation. The internal structure of nano...
